Adelaide producer Netanya starts the new year with "The Ivory Tower", a fusion of midtempo contemporary EDM with a dark ambience with uncredited lead vocals by Seb Mont. It is the next single from Netanya's upcoming February 14th 2022 album With You which was originally slated for an October 2021 release. The song, dubbed "a pretty sweet little pop jam!" by Triple J Unearthed executive producer Tommy Faith, is noted for "a big vocal performance over some artfully done production." With the single being released on January 14th 2022, it already opened at #128 on the iTunes Top 200 Dance chart in Australia. Following the previous singles "King of My Castle" and "More Heartbeats", "The Ivory Tower" is among the earlier songs that were produced in late 2020 to early 2021 and is about the pain of loving someone who doesn't love you back and not wanting to let go.
